Relaxing in Charente-Maritime

Just back from two weeks in Charente-Maritime, the department between Brittany and Aquitaine on France’s Atlantic coast.  Low season is great for slow travel.  In the Charente that meant there was plenty of time to enjoy fresh oysters, do a little island hopping, some bird watching, and spend time just relaxing by the sea.
