Berlin Wall Gallery

In 1990, after the fall of the Berlin wall, a group of artists from around the world collaborated on a memorial to peace, painting murals on a remaining 1.3 kilometer section of the wall.  If you go to the Kreuzberg district and cross the Oberbaum bridge to the east side of the Spree river, you can walk or bike along the wall and take in the art.  It’s a vivid reminder of our not-so-distant past as well as a monument to freedom.  As one image on the wall states, “Many small people, who in many small places, do many small things, can alter the face of the world.”  Here are a few of some of my favorite images from a recent visit.
