Do you love to walk? It’s my favorite way to explore a city, and to spark my imagination. I love to wander the streets with no particular destination, only to return hours later, refreshed, relaxed and full of new memories and inspiration. Places like Berlin, Amsterdam, Cologne, Brussels and Paris are personal favorites, and they’re cities where I always get lost, but I never get bored.
“A lone walker is both present and detached, more than an audience but less than a participant. Walking assuages or legitimizes this alienation.” Rebecca Solnit, Wanderlust, A History of Walking.
