I’ll confess, I love a good beer. Over the past few years, I’ve been able to spend time traveling in some cities that are known for great beer. This is handy, since it also happens to be my beverage of choice after a day spent exerting myself outdoors walking, hiking or cycling. The venue might be a sidewalk café in a big city, a roadside rest stop in the countryside, or inside a cozy, centuries-old pub. Whether it’s a petite glass of kölsch in Cologne or a daunting liter of weissbier in Munich, enjoying a new beer in a new city is always a refreshing and memorable experience.
